Cudjoe Addo quits Liberty

Accra, Aug 19, GNA-Cudjoe Addo, Liberty Professionals goalkeeper, has quit the club to join Kumasi based King Faisal Football Club.

Addo who has been a regular keeper of the Dansoman based club said he decided to quit following a problem he had with the management of the former club.

The keeper however failed to disclose the problem but stated that after playing for Liberty for close to four years there is the need for him to change club.

The keeper said this when he spoke to the GNA Sports in a brief interview and added that he is keen to open a new chapter in soccer career.

He said all arrangements concerning his movement was concluded last week Friday and he will move to Kumasi this weekend to start training with the "Nokia Boys".

"I believe King Faisal is the ideal place for me to continue with my career," he said and expressed the confidence that he would pick a regular position in his new team.

The keeper this year failed to pick a regular position in Liberty as he appeared to have lost his position to young Kotei Blankson.
