Crunch Stevanovic meeting delayed

The drama over Goran Stevanovic's long drawn out future as Ghana coach will run for another few days after the Serbian failed to turn up for a scheduled meeting on Tuesday.

Stevanovic was due to meet a five man team from the GFA for what has been widely reported as a meeting to sort out the details of his departure from the job but he has been unable to make the trip because his passport is reportedly full and needs a new one before travelling to Accra.

The meeting will now take place on Thursday or Friday, kickoffGhana understands. It further drags a decision on the Serbian's future which has been clouded in uncertainty since the Black Stars reached the semi-finals of the 2012 Nations Cup.

Stevanovic has the backing GFA president Kwesi Nyantekyie despite the executive committee of the Ghana Football Association deciding heavily in favour of dismissing him last week.

The technical directorate of the GFA represented by Ben Koufie have also recommended his removal and some media reports say he has already been informed.
