Hearts of Oak poster boy Cosmos Dauda claims he has sharpened his scoring skills to emerge top scorer of the Ghana Premier League at the end of the season.

The former Tudu Mighty Jets exceeded expectations on his debut season after scoring six goals in the first round.

But he faces a difficult challenge to topple current top scorer Yahaya Mohammed, who raked in 11 goals and Liberty Professionals’ Latif Blessing who had 8 goals to his credit.

Dauda remains defiant and promises to do some remedial amount of work to achieve his season goal.

"I am gunning for the top and determined to score more goals in the second round to overtake those up there,” he told the Graphic Sports.

"But I have not been satisfied with our performance in the first round because we lost most of our home matches and this cost us a lot but we are working seriously on our mistakes and I am optimistic we will do better in the second round."
