Medeama president Moses Armah 'toasted' to his side's impressive 2-0 win over Al Shendi as they secured qualification to the CAF Confederation Cup play-offs on Wednesday.

A spectacular strike from dribbling wizard Kwame Boahene put the home side in driving seat before striker Abass Mohammed completed the win with a fabolous free-kick in the first half.

It wasn't a vintage Medeama performance in Sekondi but it was enough to send them to the play-offs of the continent's second-rate inter-club competition.

And an elated club president Moses Armah praised his players for their effort.

"Normally we play better than this but I'm happy with the final outcome," he said

"We are not getting complacent and will continue to move forward. It was a fantastic win and we look forward to another great game in the play-offs.

"The final qualifying stage will be tough but we'll map out strategies to ensure we get to the promise land.

"Like I have been saying all along, we are taking one game at a time. We need the support and prayers of all Ghanaians.

Medeama will know their opponents for the CAF Confederation Cup final qualifying draw on Thursday.

The winners of the 1/8th round of the Orange CAF Confederation Cup will be pitted against the losing clubs of the 1/8th round of the Orange CAF Champions League, to determine the eight clubs for the group phase.
