Committee to co-ordinate donations for Satellites

Accra, Oct. 21, GNA - Government has set up a five-member team to co-ordinate and receive all donations for the Black Satellites for annexing the ultimate U-20 FIFA World Cup.

The formation of the Committee follows numerous requests from corporate bodies and individuals to make donations to the historic World Youth Cup winners.

Mr James Agyenim Boateng, Deputy Minister of Information in a statement issued in Accra on Wednesday said after the necessary consultations, it was decided that all the donations are documented for the benefit of the winning team.

The statement said the Committee would be chaired by Nii Oko Djanie, Chief Executive of NDK Financial Services.

The Committee would operate from the offices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports where all interested corporate bodies and individuals are encouraged to send their donations.

Other members of the Committee are a representative each of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The others are sports enthusiast, Kojo Bonsu and Marketing Practitioner Mrs Helen Annan. 21 Oct. 09
