Cobbinah holds no ill feeling for Ahmed Toure

Hearts of Oak playmaker Winful Cobbinah says there is no resentment towards striker Ahmed Toure after he ditched Accra Hearts of Oak to join bitter rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The former Ghana Premier League Most Valuable Player made an unexpected turn around to sign for his former side when Hearts was not decisive in terms of offering him a deal.

The Ivorian had trained with Hearts and even featured for them against Heart of Lions in the GHALCA Top 4 tournament 2nd leg encounter and scored the only goal of the evening which pushed the game into penalties.

Cobbinah says no one in the club is bitter towards Toure over his decision to sign for Kotoko.

“To us, Accra Hearts of oak is the biggest brand of football in Ghana and his decision to move elsewhere has been accepted“.

“I can tell you that no one is complaining that he joined another club. We believe in ourselves and we are sure that we can achieve great stuff this season,” he added.
