Coach Sarpong Quit Heart of Lions

Heart of Lions coach J.E Sarpong has resigned from his job almost six months after taking over the position.

Under his leadership, the club has struggled following a string of poor performances in the league.

Heart of Lions have won only once in their last seven league games and currently lie thirteen on the sixteen club premier league table.

Only three points separate Lions from the bottom club Kade Hotspurs.

The ex-Okwawu United and Great Olympics coach joined the Kpando based club midway through the first round of the season after coach Bashiru Hayford resigned.

According to Joy Sports enquiries, Coach Sarpong who was not on the bench during yesterday?s 1-1 draw with Dwarfs, reportedly announced an initial resignation days before the league match against Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

He however rescinded his decision and joined the team for the game.

A source close to the club has told Joy sports that the club is yet to receive any official letter from Sarpong.
