Coach Augustt Quits Oly

AFTER THE 90 minutes of pure action at the Tema Stadium last Saturday, the Head Coach of Great Olympics, Ken Augustt announced his resignation as the Coach of the Wonder club.

Coach Augustt attributed his resignation to Management's failure to pay his contract fee due him, and not the 0-1 defeat they suffered at the hands of their host, Tema Youth.

"I think I have not been treated fairly by Management, hence my decision to throw in the towel as the Head Coach," he stated.

"I have served Management notice regarding my resignation and I don't think I will continue as the Coach of the club."

Last October, Coach Augustt, who qualified Olympics from Division One to the Premiership, boycotted training session for two days following the same issue.

According to Coach Augustt, he resumed training after Management had promised of paying him the contract fee due him.

He told the Chronicle Sports that "They have not fulfilled their part of the agreement that is why I am laying down my tools."

In another development, Mr. David Fugah, Director of the club attributed Oly's 0-1 deficit to poor player selection on the part of Coach Augustt.

"I have registered as many as seven new players to add bite to the existing squad, but he refused to use any of them", he said in anger.
