Coach Amissah confident his Mighty Jets will escape relegation

Mighty Jets returnee Head Coach Jonas Amissah has told PRAVDA SPORTS 93.5 he is hopeful his relegation threatened Accra based side will escape demotion, again.

Mighty Jets escaped the drop by the skin of their teeth, on the last match day, only last season. The situation is not any different now as they lie third from bottom with 23 points and must win at least four out of the last six games to be sure of surviving yet again.

The first of those six games is a rather tough clash against the in-form runaway leaders Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium this Saturday. Coach Jonas Amissah confesses that he is aware ensuring the club’s stay in the league will be an uphill task, but is confident they can do it.

“Before I accepted to handle the team, I had studied the fixtures and I had also taken a look at the league table.

“I felt that it was going to be a tall order but I decided to take the risk because I believe that with some hard work we can be able to ensure our continuous stay in the Premiership,” he explained.
