Clifford Aboagye gets four-game ban

Ghanaian youngster Clifford Aboagye has been handed a four-match ban by the disciplinary committee of the Spanish Football Federation for elbowing an opponent.

Aboagye was found culpable of attacking an opponent during the Granada B-Murcia game.

He was sent off with a straight red card for an off the ball incident and will miss the next four games after the Spanish FA sat on the case Tuesday.

“Hitting an opponent intentionally in the face is contrary to the laws of the game and we have applied Article 98.1 of the disciplinary code so Aboagye will miss four games and has been fined 1,916 Euros with his club also fined 180 Euros,” Lopez Oliver, a member of the FA, disclosed.

The former Ghana Under-20 bronze ball winner will miss the games against La Hoya Lorca, the Melilla, Sevilla Cacereno and Atletico.
