Chief Executive advises supporters

Sunyani, (B/A) May 17, GNA - The newly elected Chief Executive Officer of division one football club, Brong Ahafo United FC, Mr. Kwadwo Yeboah-Fodjour, has advised supporters of the Club to eschew rowdiness so as not to soil the good name of the club.

Mr. Yeboah-Fodjour, who was formerly the Chairman of the Club when they defeated Accra Hearts of Oak 4-1, told the GNA Sports in an interview that any supporter who misbehaves during his tenure of office would have himself or herself to blame.

"I will personally ensure that such supporters are arrested and dealt with according to the law", he cautioned.

Mr Yebaoh-Fodjour said as part of his strategy to bring sanity to the Club, he would convene a meeting to chart a new course of action and to educate the supporters and well wishers to understand the basic rudiments of the game.

He emphasised that "there are basically three results to be expected at the end of a game, you either win, draw or lose and if every supporter will have this at the back of his or her mind there will not be much trouble at the end of matches".

Mr. Yeboah-Fodjour, a former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in the Brong Ahafo said as part of his visions for the Club, his ultimate aim would be to help elevate the Club back unto the premiership. "Every effort and resources would be put in place to ensure that BA United re-join the elite division of clubs in the country", he said. The CEO stressed that "football is now a lucrative business" and his management was ready to prepare the team to be able to face all professional challenges to ensure high standards in the Club. He warned that players who are not disciplined would be shown the exit and management would be strict and would only tolerate those who are ready to sacrifice to see to the growth of the Club. Mr. Yeboah-Fodjour announced that 25 players aged between 17 and 22 years only would be recruited to beef up the team with the focus being on strikers, adding that a good and competent coach had been recruited to enable the Club achieve the needed results.

The CEO appealed to citizens of the Region to support the Club in cash and kind to help lift the image of the Club while entreating the feuding parties of the club to amicably resolve their differences for its success. "B.A United will now be a formidable team as it now has the full support of some prominent businessmen based in Ghana and abroad", he said, adding that "I'm coming back to manage the Club with a team of dedicated people who are result oriented.'
