Chelsea ready for Champions League draw outcome

Berekum Chelsea Chief Executive Nana Kwame Nketiah insists his side will not be looking to avoid big teams in Tuesday’s CAF Champions League draw.

Chelsea will join giants; Etoile du Sahel, Esperance, TP Mazembe and Zamalek alongside Sunshine Stars, ASO Chief and Al Ahy for the draw in Cairo.

Nketiah has touted his side’s credentials and swatted claims they might duck to the clouts of more established sides in the group phase.

“Whoever we meet have been ordained by God and we have to prepare to play any side,” he said.

“Mind you people didn’t give us a chance in this series but we have managed to make it this far so we are not going to be an easier side to beat to anyone.

“We approach every game the same way, fearless and with a lot of courage.”

The dethroned Ghana Premier League champions sealed qualification into the money zone after a vintage 2-1 win over Cameroonian side Coton Sport in Garoua last Sunday.
