Champs League: Chelsea defeat Atlabara on penalties

Berekum Chelsea stood tall in a tough battle with Atlabara FC to make it to the next stage of the Caf Champions League after a 3-0 victory via the penalty shootouts.

The 2011 Ghana League champions who are making their second appearance in the elite club competition needed the shootouts to advance to the next round of the preliminaries.

Chelsea, who won the first leg 2-0 in Berekum last week also went down 2-0 in the return leg on Sunday night.

Their goalkeeper, Iddrisu Danjuma was the hero on the day after all three penalties by Atlabara. The Blues are the only Ghanaian side left in the competition after Kumasi Asante Kotoko were eliminated by Liberian side, BYC
