Caf fixes simultaneous kick off for CAN qualifiers

Ghana's final Group I fixture in the 2012 African Nations Cup against Sudan will kick off at the same time as Congo take on Swaziland.

The Confederation of African Football has announced that each group’s final round qualifiers will start simultaneously.

“The Organising Committee of the Africa Cup of Nations will be in charge of the fixing, after consulting the organizing associations, the dates, the venues and the time of kick-off of the matches,” Caf said.

Goran Stevanovic's side top Group I ahead of the final game in Khartoum in October.

The Black Stars lead on goal difference, despite level on points with the Nile Crocodiles, 13 points apiece while Congo are on 3 points and Swaziland with no points after five games.

A total of 21 matches will take place on the weekend of 08-09 September, with 10 places still up for grabs.
