CAF/Cup Winners Cup semi-final line-ups

Etoile Sahel of Tunisia, which had lifted the CAF Cup trophy twice in four final appearances was the biggest casualty of the quarterfinals of this competition.

It fell 1-0 to Tonnerre Yaounde in Cameroon, leaving the teams level at 2-2 on aggregate, with the hosts advancing on the away-goal rule. The semifinals lineup will oppose Al-Masry of Egypt against holder JS Kabylie of Algeria and Tonnerre against Satellite of Ivory Coast.

In the Cup Winners Cup, Kotoko squeezed through on aggregate after losing 4-2 to Al Mehalla in Egypt and Wydad of Morocco qualified after a 3-1 win over AS Vita of RD Congo.

USMA of Algeria crashed Transfoot of Madagascar 8-2 to qualify to the last four.

In the semifinals, Asante Kotoko of Ghana faces AS Police of Congo and Wydad Casablanca of Morocco meets USMA of Algeria.

The first leg of the semifinals of the two competitions will be held in the weekend of 4 to 6 October.
