CAF Champions League: Mandela Ocansey and Hudu Yakubu score to give Horoya FC win

Ghanaian duo Mandela Ocansey and Hudu Yakubu were on target for Guinean side Horoya in their 2-0 home win over Zimbabwean side Platinum FC in the CAF Champions League on Tuesday.

Ocansey headed in a cross from left back Yakubu in the 58th minute to open the scoring for the home team at the Stade du 28 Septembre in Conakry.

After 78 minutes, Yakubu-formerly of AshantiGold- scored with a long-range striker from a difficult angle after receiving a pass from Sebe Baffour.

Ocansey and Yakubu were named in the starting line-up alongside countrymen Godfred Asante, Sebe Baffour Kyei and Brefo Mensah.

Patrick Razak was introduced in the 82nd minute to replace compatriot Ocansey.

Horoya have moved to second place after four rounds of matches with seven points in Group B.

They are now one point behind leaders Esperance who beat Orlando Pirates 2-0 at home.
