CAF Champions League: Hearts Vs. Douanes

Ghana’s CAF Champions League representatives, Accra Hearts of Oak, will begin their search for continental honours this Sunday when they play host to A.S.C. Douanes of Togo in a first leg one-sixteenth final encounter at the Accra Stadium.
Kick-off is at 3 p.m. while gates open at 9 a.m. This will be Hearts’ third attempt towards conquering Africa after winning the Champions League trophy for the first time in 2000.
In their last two appearances, Hearts suffered early eliminations to some unsung clubs. The Phobians have, however, resolved to make an impact in this year’s competition.
They announced their preparedness to take on the rest of Africa by thrashing Pepple United of Nigeria 4-0 in an international friendly in Accra last Sunday.

Hearts release rates for Sundays match

Accra Hearts of Oak on Tuesday released the rates for their first leg match against AS Douane of Togo in this years Africa Clubs Championship scheduled for Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

A statement signed by Mr. Ashford Tettey-Oku, the Administrative Manager, said the gates would be opened at 9:00 A.M and the kick off is at 3:00 pm.

According to the statement, 100,000 cedis would be charged for the VIP, while the Wings and the Upper Terrace would attarct 60,000 and 40,000 cedis respectively.

The Osu and May Nine stands go for 20,000 cedis while 15,000 would be charged for the popular stands.

The statement said there would not be any sale of advanced tickets and with the excerption of FIFA and class one referees, all Stadia passes are invalid.

The statement said all paying fans are entitled to a product from Lever Brothers, Ghana Limited at their points of entry and all tickets for the match qualify for an automatic raffle and prizes would be presented to winners instantly.

The prizes include a 14-inch colour television, Sanyo sound system and a bicycle for the first, second and third prizes respectively.
