C.K. Gyamfi qualifies for finals of Middle league

Cape Coast, Feb. 17, GNA - C.K. Gyamfi Academy on Thursday whipped their local rivals, Efutu Youngster 7-3 in the Central Region Division Two Middle league at Robert Mensah sports stadium. C.K. Gyamfi who emerged champions with six points in Zone Two will meet the champions of Zone One in the finals of the Middle league on Sunday. C.K. Gyamfi who scored the highest number of goals in the tournament, led 4-1 at half time.

On resumption of the second half, midfielder Eric Sam increased the tally to five goals but Ishmael Amoah of Youngsters pulled one goal back in the 75th minute.

Outside right, Enock Boadi increased the Academy Lads' goal tally to six with left winger, Henry Turkson, making it seven, but just as the game was coasting to an end Efutu Youngsters managed to score a face saving goal to bring the final scores to 7-3.
