Bukarson tips Fianoo to win Ghalca elections

Former Asante Kotoko communication director Listowell Yesu Bukarson says Kudjo Fianoo is his personal choice to run Ghana League Clubs Association (Ghalca), ahead of the April 21 elections.

Fianoo, chief executive officer of Ghana champions Ashanti Gold is one of four men vying to replace Alhaji Raji as Ghalca's president alongside Isaac Koomson, Kojo Poku and Oduro Sarfo.

Fianoo received the full backing of delegates from the northern part of the country last week, and the Kotoko man believes the former Ghana FA executive committee member is the right man for the job.

"I've gone through all the available information after the dignity check by the vetting committee last week. I know all four candidates but for me - and this is a personal view - Kudjo Fianoo is the stand-out candidate and I think majority of the delegates also have that idea," Bukarson told Goal.

"Why do I say that? Fianoo is very experienced, and his ideas in football administration are what Ghalca needs now. The association is gradually losing it significance but with Fianoo, one can dream of having effective Ghalca just like it was in the past.

"Fianoo is used to looking for sponsors for his club. He's used to looking after competitions, national teams and clubs and all these can be easily translated into the running Ghalca," he added.

Goal understands that Fianoo has the backing of Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak after the two most glamorous clubs in the country endorsed his nomination forms.
