Brong Ahafo United pip Aduana FC

Sunyani, (B/A) Aug. 14, GNA - Brong Ahafo United Football Club put up a scintillating performance to pip rivals Aduana FC 1-0 in the second round of their Division One League encounter at the Sunyani Sports stadium on Wednesday. Striker Asamoah Arhin fetched the lone goal of the match through a penalty awarded them by Kumasi-based referee David Kumah in the 28th minute.

Aduana FC mounted pressure on the home side for the equalizer but B.A United's Twum Baiden capitalized on a defensive mix-up to put the ball into the net for his side in the 38th minute but referee Kumah ruled the effort as off-side. After the recess, a more composed Aduana FC regained control of the match but could not penetrate the resolute B/A United defence till full time. At the Berekum Golden City Park, Space FC defeated Bechem United 2-0 in their encounter. Space FC drew first blood in the 17th minute through a brilliant finish by striker Frederick Boateng and doubled the scores in the 45th minute.
