Brong Ahafo Select Side To Play Black Stars

A select-side of the three premier clubs in the Brong Ahafo Region will engage the Black Stars in a special friendly at the Sunyani Coronation Park on November 24.

Speaking to ghanaweb in Sunyani over the weekend, Stars? Coach E.K Afranie who was part of a high-powered FA delegation to the B/A launch of their five year Development Plan, hinted that the exercise which will see B/A United, Bofoakwa Tano and Berekum Arsenals form one team to confront the might of the senior National Team would offer the Stars a stiffer local opposition and also offer him the chance to pick another John Paintsil from the Brong Ahafo Region to augment his squad.

The Coach also hinted that other International friendly matches, involving countries such as Nigeria, Egypt, Botswana, Lesotho, Algeria and South Africa have been lined to get the Stars in shape for future assignments and hoped all Ghanaians will give him the support to get Ghana soccer back to where it belongs. Coach Afranie also used the opportunity to thank Ghanaian soccer fans for their encouragement and positive suggestions about the way forward, and urged that with this positive approach, we can make it, he said.
