British Mission Throws Weight Behind Porterfield

Sources close to the dismissed Kotoko coach, Ian Porterfield, have revealed that the British High Commission who have been monitoring events with keen interest since news of the dismissal of their national by Kotoko broke out last week have expressed their disgust and deep-rooted anger.

According to the sources, the Commission contacted the coach, by phone, upon hearing news of the incident and wanted to find out about safety of him and his wife Glenda to which Porterfield replied that the police have given the protection he requested for.

The sources also indicated that the British Mission was also appalled by the timing of the wrongful conduct which coincided with the arrival of WBA and IBF heavyweight champion, Lennox Lewis, who promised to support Ghana boxing and also invest in the country.
