Bribery & Corruption Hit Ghana Soccer

Startling and Shocking revelations has hit Ghana Soccer after club officials admitted to giving bribes to match officials to influence the outcome of matches. This was after a tough and mind-buckling meeting held by the Football Association and attended by officials of all Premier League clubs.
Match officials were also incriminated in the charges. The club officials described how some match officials chase them for money to enable them to influence the outcome of matches they officiate.
At the meeting, which was held earlier this week, the club officials pledged never to resort to bribery in order to uphold the image and dignity of the game and also promote fair play.
The resolution by the various clubs has now confirmed the notion that club and match officials were engaged in match fixing.
The referees and other match officials are yet to confirm or deny the issues raised at the meeting. Some club members confessed the issue of bribery on the part of match officials and soccer administrators to Myjoyonline.com.
A club official who spoke on condition of anonymity narrated how a premier league referee manipulated matches against a particular club because they failed to honour their part of a bargain after he officiated a match in their favour.
