Boye suffers fresh injury in Turkey

Ghana defender John Boye has suffered a fresh injury while playing for Kayseri Erciyesspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday evening sparking fears that he could miss next month’s Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

The Black Stars would be sweating on his fitness and availability for the 2015 AFCON as the tournament draws closer.

Boye was replaced on the half-hour mark after picking an injury from a challenge.

Little details are known about the extent of the injury however, Kayseri doctors will perform initial scans on him to determine how long he will spend on the sidelines.

Boye moved to Kayseri in the summer after leaving French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes.
