Bortey gets three-match ban

The disciplinary committee of the Ghana football association has handed Accra Hearts of Oak striker Bernard Dong Bortey a three-match ban.

Bortey has been suspended with Berekum Arsenals? Seth Opoku for the brawl that ensued between the two players after the Hearts of Oak-Berekum Arsenals 11th week league game at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

Bortey will miss this weekend?s league encounter with RTU and the games against Berekum Arsenals and Real sportive.

In a related development Accra Hearts of Oak have been fined ?10m ($9,000) for the crowd violence that took place during the Hearts-King Faisal first round encounter at the Ohene Djan stadium.

King Faisal chairman; Alhaji Karim Grunsah, has also been fined ?3m cedis for assaulting a fan during the 1-1 draw between Heart of Lions and King Faisal at Kpando.

Kotoko's Osei Boateng was banned for a year for the same incident.
