BOFOAKWA's stalwart defender, Yaw Kyeremeh, has resigned from the club.

In a statement, the player said he has been maltreated by the club and can therefore not continue to be part of it.

He said before joining Bofoakwa from his former club, Real Tamale United (RTU), the old management of Bofoakwa headed by Mr J. Y. Appiah agreed to pay him an enticement fee of ?8 million.

He said initially the club paid ?4 million with a promisory note to pay the remaining ?4 million after last season's Premier league home matches against Olympics, RTU, Kwaebibirem and Hasaacas, all of wh-ich he featured in adding that to his surprise, Bofoakwa have failed to honour the promise.

He said when Ebo Mends' management took over the administration, he was promised that the ?4 million balance would be paid to him.

Kyeremah said Ebo Mends paid an initial ?2 million to him but all attempts to get him pay the balance have proved futile.

Furthermore, the coach has refused to field him in matches for no apparent reason.

He said at a particular time, Mr Ebo Mends instructed the coach to strike his name from the team sheet when his name had initially been included in the first team.

He stated that from the developments, it looked like his services are no more needed.
