Board accepts resignation of Cornerstone Chairman

The Board of Directors and Patrons of Kumasi Cornerstone Football Club have accepted the resignation of the chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC), Nana Kwabena Poku, and his Secretary, Mr Ekow Dadson.

The Board has decided that with the resignation of the IMC Chairman and the Secretary, any transaction concerning the club must be directed to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the club through the Sports Development Officer of the National Sports Council (NSC) in Kumasi. A statement signed by Mr R.G. Annan, Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Club said the decision has been taken in order not to create a situation where any member or supporter will assume powers or authority that have not been mandated to him. It said the former IMC Chairman and the Secretary should not transact any business on behalf of the club.

The statement said the Board is making efforts to have all matters affecting the image of the club amicably settled for it to participate effectively in any future league.
