Boakye-Yiadom to play one more season for Sassuolo

Ghana international Richmond Boakye-Yiadom will spend one more season on loan with newly-promoted Serie A side from Juventus, Goal Ghana can exclusively reveal.

The 20-year-old who is owned by Juventus spent last season on loan with Sassuolo where he netted 10 goals to help them qualify to the Serie A for the first time in their history.

“Boakye who is owned by Juventus in the last season played with Sassuolo. In the next season probably he will play also with Sassuolo on loan again,” a close source to the player stated.

Goal Ghana can also confirm that talks between Juventus and Sassuolo have reached an advanced stage and it is very certain that the striker will play for the Modena-based club on loan for the third consecutive time.

The striker was bought by Genoa after excelling in the Romeo and Juliet Youth tournament in Italy before moving to Sasssuolo on loan after which he was signed by Juventus for a fee around five million dollars.

Sassuolo manager Eusebio de Francesco stated just after the end of the season that he will like to have Boakye and his compatriot Chibsah again on loan to aid their Serie A campaign.
