Black Stars to play twice in March

Ghana Black Stars boss, Avram Grant has confirmed that his team will play two matches before the end of the month.

The Black Stars had planned to play a friendly on the 29th against Nigeria in London, but that game was cancelled by FIFA based on its regulation which prohibits teams from playing on two different continents within a short period of time, leaving Ghana still without an opponent ahead of the international friendly dates.

"Yes we will play, but I am waiting to see what the GFA says, but the target is to play two matches before the end of the month. Many teams in Europe are playing qualifications so it will be hard to get them so we must make do with what we will get Grant told AllSports.com.gh.

Grant is scheduled to depart from Ghana on Tuesday to join the national U-20 team in Senegal where it is playing in the African championships.

"I am going to watch because after the AFCON there was very little time to see them. The long term plan of the Black Stars is to introduce these younger players and to make sure the team is always open to new players. It is very interesting for me to go and watch and see how the future looks for us. "

The Israeli will miss Ghana's opening game on Monday against South Africa after failing to get a flight but will be in camp for the second and third games.
