Black Stars move to camp on March 18 for Sudan game

Ghana Black Stars will begin camping on Monday, March 18 for next weekend’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan in Kumasi.

Information gathered by GNA Sports has it that the foreign legion are expected to arrive in Accra on Monday to join their local compatriots, who will be the first to report after the league matches 24-hours earlier.

The local-players in the 24-man squad are Fatau Dauda (AshantiGold), Daniel Agyei (Liberty Professionals) and forward Mahatma Otoo (Hearts of Oak).

Otoo is one of four debutants invited for the must-win clash alongside Arsenal midfielder, Emmanuel Frimpong, on loan at Fulham, left-back Baba Abdul Rahman of German side Greuther Furth, and relatively unknown striker David Accan, a product of the Right to Dream Academy and now on the books of Swedish side, Helsinborg.

The team will hold training sessions at the Accra Sports Stadium between Tuesday and Thursday, before traveling to Kumasi after the final session.

The Stars are expected to hold two trainings at the Baba Yara Stadium ahead of the Group D encounter on Sunday, March 24.

The Ghanaians are three points adrift leaders Zambia and must win to boost their chances of a third successive appearance at the Mundial.

The Stars' only win in the campaign was a 7-0 drubbing of Lesotho last September in Kumasi.
