Black Stars hit six in test session

Ghana stepped up preparations on Thursday as they completed a six-goal thriller test session against two separate lower division sides at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

The test games was to offer the Black Stars some match practice ahead of Sunday’s 2010 joint Nations Cup and World Cup qualifier against Sudan.

Milovan Rajevec lined up two different teams for each half lasting some 52 minutes as goals from Asamoah Gyan and Opoku Agyemang handed the Black Stars a 2-0 finish against Great Assin North Utd.

The second period resumed against Dreams FC who went down 4-0 as Matthew Amoah hit a hat-trick with Haminu Draman scoring the final goal.

Ghana would be aiming to continue their impressive run Group D, where the Black Stars sit top, five points clear of the second-placed team in the qualifiers.

First team: William Amamoo, Samuel Inkoom, Abdul Rahim, Bright Allotey, Isaac Vorsah, Laryea Kingston, Frank Boateng, Prince Boateng, Opoku Agyemang, Asamoah Gyan/Godwin Attram and Junior Agogo

Second team: Richard Kingson, John Paintsil, Harrison Afful/Samuel Inkoom, John Mensah, Eric Addo, Anthony Annan, Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Matthew Amoah and Haminu Draman
