Black Stars To Play England ?

The Management of the GFA is in intensive talks with the English Football Association on a possible international friendly between the two countries before the start of the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany next year.

After the Black Stars emphatically beat Saudi Arabia 3-1 in Jeddah, the confidence of numerous Ghanaians has been boosted ahead of the World Cup finals, with many already predicting a good run of Ghana in the finals.

England Coach Sven Ericksson has hinted of two friendlies with African opposition for his team before the World Cup finals.

Head Coach of the Black Stars Ratomir Dujkovic told CITI FM that the idea of playing England has been thoroughly discussed by the Management Board of the GFA and they have come to an agreement to contact the English FA and arrange the friendly, which will most likely take place in England.

?It was mentioned during a meeting with the Management Board and the Federation is taking frantic steps to contact England for the friendly,? said Doya.
