Black Queens To Prepare For Nigeria

Coach Oko Aryee, technical head of the national women soccer team, Black Queens, has invited 30 players for camping as the team prepares for their Olympic Games qualifier against the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Ghatel Ladies of Accra lead the pack with seven players followed by Post and La Ladies with four players each. Great Mawuena Ladies have three players with two players each from Ghatel Sunyani and Takoradi and Oforikrom Ladies respectively.

Dansoman Ladies, Ash Town Ladies, Fabulous Ladies, Ashaiman Ladies and Ghatel Tamale have a player each in the team.The list which has Adjoa Bayor as the only foreign-based player includes goalkeeper Memunatu Sulemana, Fati Mohammed, Henrietta Anni and Joyce Tweneboah from Post Ladies.

Gladys Enti, Aminatu Ibrahim, Mavis Danso, Bayor , Gloria Oforiwaa, Memuna Darko and Hamdia Abass are from Ghatel Accra.The rest are Dina Annan, Aisha Amaning, Florence Oko, and Patience Kpobi from La Ladies while Patricia Ofori, Maame Blankson and Belinda Kanda from Great Mawuena and Gloria Aikins and Ruth Asante from Oforikrom Ladies.

Takoradi Ghatel have Florence Akyeah and Helena Mensah, with Lucy Takyiwaa and Rita Dwamena from Ghatel Sunyani. The rest are Ruth Adjeley, Romanatu Tahiru, Sibana Mensah, Akua Anokyewaa, Yaa Avoe, Saida Abukari, all from Dansoman, Ashaiman, Hasaacas, Ash Town, Fabulous and Ghatel Tamale respectively.

The Queens will play the Falcons first in Nigeria followed by the return leg in Accra to determine who qualifies to join South Africa or Angola for the competition
