Benin's top scorer Razak Omotoyossi has told Goal.com that barring a major upset, Ghana have already booked their flight to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

"Right now, Ghana are well ahead of the other teams in our group. Except they fail to win their remaining two home games to Mali and Sudan, they are already at the World Cup," Omotoyossi told Goal.com

"If they win the games against Sudan and Mali, they will be on 15 points and then it would be mathematically impossible for any of us to catch up with them."

The Ghana Black Stars have recorded nine points from three matches while Mali are second on four points. Benin are third with three points and Sudan are bottom of the standings with a point.

Omotoyossi also told Goal.com that Benin have now dropped their expectations of playing at the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola after a 3-1 loss to Mali in Bamako last weekend.

"I was suspended for the match after I picked up a second booking in our match against Sudan at home. It was therefore very painful to see us lose the lead and then the match in Bamako," said the striker, who has netted seven goals in eight World Cup qualifying games.

"The World Cup is now beyond us and so our realistic target is to qualify for the Nations Cup to again prove that Benin have continued to make progress in the game."

The Squirrels of Benin first qualified for the Nations Cup in 2004 and also played at last year's African football finals. On both occasions they failed to go past the first round.

The Nigeria-born striker also told Goal.com that his club future will be clearer in the coming week as French second division side FC Metz are locked in talks with Sivasspor of Turkey as regards a loan deal for the player.

Omotoyossi signed a contract with Metz on the understanding that they will win promotion to the French Lique 1, but they failed to do so, and the player has insisted he does not wish to feature in the lower league.
