Ben Koufie To Submit Report

The Chairman of the FA’s management board would be submitting his report on Ghana’s participation in the just ended African Nations Cup and more importantly, the Adidas kit deal to the management board.

Ben Koufie, who has come under serious public and media criticism due to his behaviour to the media, was on Monday, asked to suspend his presentation till the arrival of another FA member, Abedi Ayew Pele, who is still in Mali and played a key role in securing the Adidas deal.

The Adidas deal has come under the media and public scrutiny after the expulsion of Sammy Osei Kuffour who complained about quality of the kits and the ink used in printing the numbering on the goalkeeper’s jersey.

Another issue to be discussed is the controversial, changing of designs presented to the Ghanaian media before the team’s departure and what was worn during the tournament.

Ben Koufie has been seriously condemned for his harsh response to questions from the media after telling the press he owes nobody an explanation about the kit deal when the team arrived in Accra.

According to a source, the members asked the chairman to suspend the presentation because they wanted the former Black Stars captain to clarify some aspects of the deal.

Another issue that Abedi would be questioned about is the Nike sponsorship deal which members of the FA have denied having any knowledge about.
