Bechem United withdraw from Division One League

Ark Sports sources indicate that after their inability to qualify for the elite league division for the second consecutive season, Bechem Chelsea have decided to quit Ghanaian league football.*

At a press conference today, C.E.O of the club Mr. Agama cited so many reasons why he is withdrawing his charges from the Division One League. ''I have spent a lot on the team and can’t continue like this,” he said citing referees Cecil Fletcher, Vincent Otu, Jonathan Tetteh, Ruben Lawer and Mercy Tagoe as having an agenda to ensure Bechem do not qualify for the Premier League.

According to the Bechem boss, these set of referees played a pivotal role to intentionally relegate Zaytuna FC and allegedly have an agenda to twart Bechem’s top flight bid too.

The Operations Manager of the club, Major Kwame Baah verbally insulted referee Cecil Fletcher and his assistants in yesterday’s game at the Baba Yara Stadium as mad. He accused the match officials of sabotaging Bechem United because they don’t know the price of a set of football boots.

They have appealed to the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister to help release their player, Abass Abdulai Rahman who was arrested on the eve of curfew and also appealed for the curfew to be lifted because Bechem is small township, the people there are mainly farmers.
