Accra, Nov. 21,

GNA – The playing body of Bechem United FC are 6,000 Ghana Cedis richer after

beating Medeama SC in the week seven Glo Premier League clash last Sunday at

Bechem in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The

premiership debutants registered a lone goal victory over the Tarkwa-based club

to clinch their first win of the season.

In

recognition of the historic feat, Kingsley Owusu-Achau, President of the Club

presented the cash to the playing body after match.

He told GNA

Sports the package was to motivate the players to give off their best in the

remaining games in the premiership.

Owusu-Achau

described the moral-booster win as the turning point in the Club’s fortunes in

their maiden season in the top flight and was optimistic that they would place

in a favourable position at the long round.

With four

points from seven games, the Bechem United's President expressed that his

charges will climb to a respectable position after the first halve of the

season.

The

debutants are perched at the depth of the standings with four points, same as

Tema Youth and Wassaman United in the bottom three.

Bechem

United will next travel to the port city of Tema to face Tema Youth in a

'battle' of survival involving two bottom-place teams next Sunday. The two

clubs gained promotion to the top flight last season.
