Beach soccer league week 15 round up

Championship leaders, Ada Assurance took a giant stride towards their maiden beach soccer silverware whilst Nima toppled division one leaders Gulf Powers to put themselves in pole position for the automatic championship qualification slot for next season.

The championship race though has been reduced to a two-horse race after outsiders, Havedji Mighty Warriors drew 2-2 with Dansoman. Havedji raced into the lead with goals from Innocent Kumensah and Freeman Nyadedor but Striker Matthew Lamptey's brace ensured the two sides shared the spoils. Havedji now trail Ada by eight points and face the impossible task of toppling them with three games remaining.

Leaders Ada Assurance kept defending Champions Keta Sunset Sports in check after they silenced the roaring Wuo Gb33 by posting a 4-2 win over them. Goals from Larweh Joseph, Sappor Divine, Abrantie Joshua and Kisseth Billy aided Ada to weather the Wuo Gb33 storm that saw Richard Osa and Joseph Tagoe register their names on the score sheet.

Meanwhile, defending Champions Keta Sunset Sports did their bit by defeating Layoca 3-0 but are still within three points of the leaders Ada Assurance. East Legon Sharks inched three points closer to championship survival after they hounded into petty mistakes to beat Tegbi Youth 4-3.The sharks rescue act is gathering momentum after two consecutive wins.

It was honors even in the Accra derby between Nungua United and Teshie which lived up to its billing. Though it ended 2-2, Nungua United's season continues to limp towards its conclusion.

Leadership in division one changed hands for the second time this season as Nima toppled leaders Gulf Powers with a comprehensive 10-2 victory over debutants Winneba Giants. The win puts Nima ahead of Powers but only by a goal as both are still tied on point’s courtesy Gulf Power’s 3-0 win over Golden Eagles.

3rd placed Tema United kept themselves within touching distance of the leaders after they pinched a 3-0 win over the relegated Osu Dolphins who have failed to snap a run of 15 beach soccer games without a win.

African Angels and Cape Coast Warriors consolidated their fifth and fourth positions respectively with wins over Senya Sharks and Chorkor Blue Whales rounding up Match day 15 action at the LA beach Soccer Arena.
