Beach Soccer Champions To Present League Title

Ghana Beach Soccer Champions To Present League Title To The King of Anlo and The Keta Municipal Assembly.

Ghana Beach Soccer Premier League Champions Sunset Sports – Keta will present their Premier League trophy to the Awomefia of Anlo, His Royal Majesty Togbi Sri III on Friday at his palace in Anloga. The team will follow up with another presentation at the Keta Municipal Assembly where the trophy will be presented to the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Sylvester Tornyevah.
The Keta based side were officially crowned the 2011/2012 Ghana beach soccer champions at a historic event on the last day of the beach soccer league at the La Pleasure beach soccer Arena in Accra on May 12.
The CAL Bank Beach Soccer Premier League was played weekly in front of large crowds at La Pleasure Beach Arena, Accra. Sunset Sports - Keta possess some of Ghana’s best beach soccer players who are expected to form the core of Ghana’s National side. The team went unbeaten in 18 league games played and emerged as deserving champions of the maiden edition of beach soccer league in Ghana.
The team will thus present the title to the King of the Anlo Kingdom and also seek his blessing for their victory celebrations and future plans.
“The Chief Executive Officer of the club Mr. Dzidodo Ruben Adjahoe will lead Management, technical team and players to the Palace to present the trophy to the Awomefia on Friday”, a clubs spokesperson reveal.
"We will also seek audience from the King and his blessing as the club starts our championship celebrations and also initiates future programmes aimed at sports development"
“We will also follow suit with another presentation at the Keta Municipal Assembly where the MCE Hon. Sylvester Tornyevah will be presented with the trophy”.
Sunset Sports – Keta won the maiden highly competitive league with a game to spare and amassed 48 points remaining undefeated in 18 rounds of matches.
The presentation on Friday will usher in the clubs victory programmes which include a trophy parade (float), musical concert, exhibition beach soccer game and a thanksgiving service over the weekend of June 15 – 17 in Keta.
