AshantiGold gaffer, Bashiru Hayford says he is very confident of outwitting Algerian side MO Bajaia in the CAF Champions League clash salted for the 14th of February at the Len Clay Stadium.

According to coach Bash, he has watched clips of their opponent and is confident that his boys will be able to outwit them when they finally lock horns in two weeks.

He added that the Algerians are very tall and bulky but they are not good on the ground so he will charge his boys to use more skills in the game.

“We have watched some clips of the Algerians, their local games and international matches and we are still watching some.”

“What I have observed is that they are very tall so they depend on aerial balls which we will work on.

Most of their goals have been through headings so anytime they build their attacks from the flanks, so we have to get tough defenders who can struggle with them.”

“They are not skillful as we are but they are very aggressive so we have to get players who can penetrate their defense in order to score or get a penalty because if you have silky players you can rehearse for penalties,” Bashiru Hayford said.

The Obuasi-based club will be hosting their North African counterparts on 14th February, 2016 at the Len Clay Sports in the first leg tie.
