Head coach of Ashanti Gold Bashiru Hayford is hopeful the club will end the season on a good note.

The Miners have struggled to for greater parts of the term to replicate the fantastic form that earned them success last season by clinching the topflight.

And so have lost out on retaining the trophy. The Miners occupy the 10th position with 30 points, as many as 11 points adrift the summit.

However, knowing very well that the title is lost, Hayford has set sights on finishing in a respectable position on the league log.

?“I went for study leave and am back to coach the Club, things havnt been good for us this season but I hope we finish in a respectable position at the end of the season,” he told the media after his side’s 1-1 draw with Dreams FC.

Ashanti Gold will play as host to Liberty professionals in week 25 of the Ghana Premier League tomorrow.
