Badu delight at Udinese move

Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has become the latest Ghanaian to join Udinese in Italy and declared he will uphold the shining examples of his compatriots there.

The Serie A side has been home to many Ghanaian players in the past and Badu who struck the winning penalty as the Black Satellites won the Fifa Under-20 World Cup is convinced he has chosen the right spot to begin his European career.

He told Joy FM he had signed a four year deal with Udinese because they have shown they will give young players like himself the opportunity to develop.

And he will have a lot of examples to count on. Black Stars midfielder Kojo Asamoah has become a Udinese regular after joining from Liberty Professionals two seasons ago.

Ghana captain Stephen Appiah started his European career there whiles both Sulley Muntari and Mohammed Gargo were regulars there.

Badu will now turn his attention to securing a place in Milovan Rajevac's party for both the 2010 Nations Cup and the World Cup.
