Badu and Asamoah thrill in Milan draw

The Ghanaian duo of Kwadwo Asamoah and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu featured prominently in Udinese´s 1-1 draw with Milan.

The game was played Wednesday night at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and it saw the two hold the forte in midfield against a Milan side that wanted to avoid a consecutive defeat.

Udinese boss Francesco Guidolin made two changes to his team from the 2-0 win over Fiorentina recently. Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Pablo Armero replaced Giampiero Pinzi and Giovanni Pasquale in the 4-4-2 setup.

However, Milan’s winless streak continued without fellow Ghanaian teammate Kevin-Prince Boateng, who is out with a niggling injury.

Milan hope to have their mercurial midfielder in their next game with Cesena on Saturday. Meanwhile Asamoah should start when the Zebrette play away at Cagliari on Sunday, a game in which Agyemang-Badu may also get the nod.

Udinese lie third in the Serie A and are on course for a second consecutive Champions League berth next season.
