Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink reposed confidence in Ghana defender Baba Rahman and retained him in his starting line-up for Chelsea's visit to Bournemouth in the English Premier League on Saturday.

The 21-year-old came in for social media criticism last weekend following a 'below-par' performance against Manchester City at the Stamford Bridge.

But the Dutch gaffer, who was quoted to have said the former Augsburg defender needs to improve his game, chose him ahead of other contenders for the role as the Blues overcame Bournemouth at the Dean Court.

Spain international Pedro opened the scoring for Chelsea in 5 minutes before Eden Hazard increased the tally nine minutes before the interval.

But Tommy Elphick halved the scoring for Bournemouth before the break with an exquisite finish on the 36th minute mark. But Fabregas restored Chelsea's 2-goal margin lead.

Eden Hazard then rounded off the win for Chelsea with a stoppage-time finish.
