BA Supporters want Zico back as chairman

Hundreds of supporters of Brong-Ahafo United Football Club this evening stormed to the resident of Mr. Kinsley Osei Bonsu, aka ‘Lord Zico’ the former chairman of the club pleading with him to come back as the chairman.

Lord Zico, who is the current Chief Executive of Moonlight FC, was booted out as chairman of BA united in 2003 after he held that position from 1999. During the period, he won the gala with the Apostles of Power soccer among other achievements.

It was a full of drama as the almost three hundred soccer loving fans knelt down before the veteran football administrator and begged for forgiveness. Some of them openly wept over the poor performance of their beloved club which has been relegated to division two.

The chairman of the remorseful supporters, Mr. Eric Frimpong told Lord Zico that “we know what we did to you six years ago was bad and we are here in our numbers to beg for forgiveness and save the image of the club”.

Mr Osei Bonsu obviously shocked at the turn of events, said if only the supporters would give the team back to the Omanhene of Sunyani, Nana Bosoma Asor Nkrawiri II as the spiritual head, he would response to Nana’s call.
