BA Stars apply for name change...

... to Techiman City FC

*Ghanaian second tier club BA Stars have applied to have their name changed to Techiman City Football Club.*

This is in fulfillment of a promise made by new owner Charles Kwadwo Ntim after completing a takeover of the club earlier this week.

The choice of the new name was made after several consultations with opinion leaders of the Techiman traditional area – where the team will now be based.

The new owner met with the local media and the Techiman Munincipality to inform them of the intended name change of BA Stars.

The club have already filed all necessary documentations to the Ghana FA towards securing the name change – which could be granted as early as by the end of the week.

The club meanwhile will be embarking on a justify your inclusion to recruit new generation of players for the side since the takeover.

This four-day excercise will begin from September 2 at the Techiman Ameyaw Park.
