B/A United is non political

The Management of B/A United Football Club has debunked allegations being circulated among football fanatics within the Brong-Ahafo region that the club is riding on the shoulders of a particular political party to secure qualification into the premiership.

The CEO of B/A United, Charles Kwadwo Ntim a.k.a Micky Charles has expressed discontentment against such allegations without acknowledging the efforts of the management who have toiled to secure the club’s qualification to the middle league with scarce financial resources.

He stressed that B/A United is not under the sponsorship of any political party neither does it belongs to any party, so people should desist from reading meanings to the club’s qualification to the middle league. According to Micky Charles, the issue of people propagating that supporters of B/A United F/C have been chanting “no qualification no votes” should not be heeded to, since it has been the agenda of detractors of the club to derail its expedition to qualify. He said supporters of the Club have their rights to belong or support any political party of their choices, but that does not mean the entire club belongs to that particular party where most of the supporters fit in. “How could people create confusion in the club at this crucial moment with such wild allegations of political affiliation?” adding that the Club has been managed with the CEO’s own efforts and support from personalities like Mr. Kwadwo Yeboah Fordjour, Mr. Sam Bennet, Nana Yaw Damoah and Mr. Peter Nimo, whom he acknowledged their support. He said if there was any political support why the club should continue suffering from financial difficulties, with management being over-burdened with debts.

According to Micky Charles some of his management members have even threatened to resign from their posts due to non-payment of allowances, because of financial intricacies striking the club.

He however appealed for support from supporters, Board and other philanthropists within the region to restore the enviable record of B/A United who was able to thrash Accra Hearts of Oak by four goals to one, as well as beating big clubs like Kotoko and Ashgold during the olden days. Micky Charles noted that the restoration of B/A United and its subsequent qualification into the premiership next season would fulfill the expectation of numerous soccer fans in the country as well as contributing to the raising of talented football stars into the various national teams.
