B/A Chairman Calls For Ceasefire

The Chairman of Brong Ahafo United Football Club, Mr. Kingsley Osei Bonsu has called on the GFA, as well as Coach Milan Zivadonovic to immediately put a stop to the rather dangerous press- war since the Black Stars?s painful but predictable 0=1 loss to the Cranes of Uganda last week-end.

In a statement in Sunyani this morning, Mr. Osei Bonsu cautioned that the earlier the FA and the Coach, as well as the Sports Ministry realized the grave consequence of their unnecessary name calling, the better it will be for Ghana Soccer. What is needed now is for all the stakeholders to undertake a crisis meeting in order to diagnostically examine the cause of the defeat and how to win the rest of our matches without any hitch, he said.

In another development, Abu Zeid, a former player of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Black Meteors, who now plies his soccer trade in Kuwait with Al Kazma F/C has called on the players of Black Stars not to be demoralized by the loss to Uganda but rather resolve to win the rest of the matches so as to gain qualification to CAN 2004.

According to the rugged defender, who has on three occasions been voted the best defender by the Kuwaiti FA, it?ll be disastrous if we fail to qualify and I urge all those who?ll be privileged to don the National colours to put in more than hundred percent so as to bring back smiles on the faces of many soccer enthusiasts whose food go bad whenever we?re beaten by especially less-fancied sides.

The player also urged Coach Milan to cast his net wider as there are lots of quality Ghanaian players in the Arab Land and elsewhere. The only way we can tap all such talents is to play as many friendlies as possible.
