New West Ham signing Andre Ayew is hoping to kick-start his adventure with the Hammers on a high when they clash with Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday.

The Ghanaian is anticipating a scoring debut for coach Slaven Bilic's outfit at Stamford Bridge, a week after completing a three-year move from Swansea.

The 26-year-old coincidentally made his bow for the Swans against Chelsea last season, scoring to earn his club a 2-2 away draw.

“I would love to get on the scoresheet straight away," Ayew told his club's official website.

"I am going to have a good week of training behind me and hopefully we can go there and get a good result.

“It will be tough against Chelsea in front of their new manager and their home fans.

“We want to start the season really well, but we know it is going to be a difficult game.

"We are playing away from home but it is not impossible for us to get a good result."

Ayew netted 12 times in 34 appearances for Swansea after joining last summer, and an impressive first season meant he would be on the move again after just a year.

“I am really happy to be at West Ham," he added.

"I had a discussion with the manager and he made me understand why he wanted me.

"I spoke to a few players already here who had great things to say about the manager."

Ayew has also previously played for French clubs Marseille, Arles-Avignon and Lorient.
