Ayew fires warning shot at St. Etienne

Ghana winger Andre Ayew is looking forward to Olympique Marseille’s Ligue 1 game with St. Etienne following their 2-2 draw with Stade Reims over the weekend.

Ayew was not happy with the scoreline and emphasised that the Stade Velodromme outfit have to go all out against old foes St. Etienne and get a win.

Ayew made it 2-1 for Marseille in the 69th minute but a 90th minute strike from French-born Cameroon international David Ngog secured a draw for Reims.

“The results is not good enough for us but we must go all out in our next game,” Ayew told Al Jazeera Sports. “This result is not good enough but we must try to get a good result in Saint-Etienne.”

Ayew added: “We were disappointing against Stade Reims conceding a last minute goal but we will make amends against St. Etienne.”

Ayew won the goal king award at the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
